Genevieve Mar, an experienced financial professional based in Northbrook, Illinois, has worked worldwide, including in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Spain, and Italy. Genevieve Mar began her career as a banker with the Hong Kong Bank of Canada, then worked as a banker with Canada Trust in Vancouver.

After serving as an administrative assistant at Deloitte and Associates in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, Genevieve Mar joined Northbrook’s M-G Financial. She has served the company as an advisor and insurance representative since 1995. Her professional activities focus on family and small-business financial planning, from legacy planning to cash investments.

Throughout her career, Genevieve Mar has earned numerous professional accolades, including Woodbury Financial Services’ Chairman’s Club honors on nine occasions, as well as the organization’s Crystal Eagle Award and Platinum Eagle Award, among other distinctions. She has served for several years on the Woodbury Financial Services Advisory Council and held leadership roles with community groups such as the North Suburban Evangelical Free Church Women’s Leadership Team and Financial Steering Committee.

Academically, Genevieve Mar received her master of business administration from Simon Fraser University and her biochemistry degree from the University of British Columbia. In addition to her academic background, she holds multiple insurance licenses in more than 13 states.
